Felipe J. Alvarez
President
Felipe J. Alvarez is President of RCN Metro Optical Networks where he is responsible for all aspects of the business unit. Mr. Alvarez has over 20 years in telecommunications with companies such as NYNEX and Bell Atlantic and has a wide set of experiences ranging from engineering to marketing and sales. Prior to joining RCN, he was Chief Operating Officer of Con Edison Communications where he led the development and implementation of its network infrastructure, operations, and systems.
Mr. Alvarez holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the City College of New York and an MBA from New York University.
Guy Lockwood
Chief Financial Officer
Guy Lockwood is Chief Financial Officer of RCN Metro Optical Networks where he is responsible for all financial aspects of the business unit as well as strategic planning. Mr. Lockwood has been with RCN Metro Optical Networks for 15 years.
Mr. Lockwood holds a BA in Accounting from Monmouth University.
Maura Mahoney
Vice President - Sales & Marketing
Maura Mahoney is Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Ms. Mahoney joined RCN Metro Optical Networks in May 2002 where she is responsible for attainment of revenue targets, customer relationship management, marketing communications, product management, new product development as well as market and business development for the business unit. Ms. Mahoney has over 19 years in the communications industry holding Sales & Marketing roles of increasing responsibility with companies such as Bell Atlantic and its various predecessors.
Ms. Mahoney holds a B.S. degree in Finance from Bentley College, Waltham and an M.B.A. from Boston University, Boston.
Patrick O'Hare
Vice President - Operations & Engineering
Patrick O’Hare is Vice President of Operations & Engineering for RCN Metro Optical Networks where he is responsible for all areas of engineering, field operations, network operations, outside plant engineering and construction as well as facilities and BCDR.
Prior to joining RCN Metro, Mr. O’Hare was the Vice President of Field Operations for Zayo Bandwidth where he was responsible for all aspects of field operations and the company’s Fiber to the Tower deployment. Prior to that, Mr. O’Hare was Vice President of Field Operations for Level 3 Communications, where he was responsible for field operations across seventeen states and Eastern Canada. During his tenure at Level 3, Mr. O’Hare also had responsibility nationally for the company’s Customer Program Management organization, Critical Systems Maintenance programming and BCDR Network Recovery. Before joining Level 3 in 1999, he held several management positions in corporate communications, customer service and operations for New York Telephone Company, NYNEX, and Bell Atlantic.
Mr. O’Hare received his Bachelor’s Degree from the State University of New York – University at Albany.
Paul Eskildsen
Vice President & General Counsel
Paul Eskildsen is RCN Metro Optical Networks' Vice President and General Counsel. He is the chief legal officer for RCN Metro Optical Networks and also provides legal and transactional support for other RCN company initiatives. Prior to joining RCN, he was Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of MCI, where he led and managed MCI’s legal support for customer contracting, marketing, product development, network and technology law, procurement, government contracts, intellectual property, advertising, real estate and international law. He also played a leadership role in MCI’s M&A activities, including its merger with Verizon, and led MCI’s merger approval efforts at the Department of Justice and the EU. Paul joined MCI in 1988 after spending several years in private law practice at a large DC law firm, and worked at MCI in various positions of increasing responsibility for over 18 years. Paul is a graduate of the University of North Carolina and the University of Virginia School of Law.
Lynne Davis
Director of Human Resources
Lynne Davis is Director of Human Resources for RCN Metro. Ms. Davis joined RCN Metro Optical Networks in April 2007. She leads HR operations, strategic HR initiatives and programs, and oversees the talent management function for the business unit. Ms. Davis has over 12 years in Human Resource management, providing leadership to technology companies in all aspects of their human resources functions. Most recently Ms. Davis was Head of Human Resources for Salary.com, while at Salary.com the organization experienced over 200% growth and an initial public offering. Prior to Salary.com Ms. Davis held various roles of increasing responsibility with Teligent, a leader in the expansion of the telecommunications industry.
Ms. Davis received her Bachelor’s Degree from Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, IL is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and World at Work Association.
